Why do armpits blunt my razor?

Why is it that when I use wet shave razors I can use the same blades for several days, but if my lovely wife should use it on her pretty little armpits, it's completely done in?

Answer: I'm not an authority on armpit hair, but I believe it's due to the angle of the hair. The hair on your face is slanted to make it easier to remove. Armpit hair comes out at a 90 degree angle, making it harder to shave off. If you did all your facial shaving in an upward motion, you would ruin your blade in the same fashion.
