Why do you get ill more in winter

bacteria.jpgQuestion

If cold air kills viruses and bugs, why do more people get flu in the winter?
Carl, Leyton

Answer

Name: Ian, Edgware
Qualification: My wife is an environmental health officer
Answer: Bacteria and viruses love warmth. They always stay in houses and like your central heating. When it gets cold, they come after your bodies to keep warm. You breath in and out and then you incubate them.
