Why does the milometre on my Vespa not move when I'm spinning wheels?


vespaWhen I rev the wheels of my Vespa scooter when itís on its stand, the speedometer doesnít move. How does it know?

Answer: The speedometer runs off the front wheel, so when the wheels are off the ground, the sensor knows that itís not moving and doesnít move the speedometer.
