Why does the moon reflect so much light?

Question

Why do we get so much light reflected from the moon? You don’t get that much light when you shine it on a rock.
Graham, Youll

Answer

Name: Nick, Beckenham
Qualification: My five-year-old daughter did it in a project
Answer: The moon is really not that reflective at all, being made of grazed volcanic rock. It reflects only 11% of the sun’s light. But that is enough to make it shine brightly from Earth.
