Why don't £50 notes have ultraviolet strips?

Question

As a shopkeeper, if you put a £5, £10 and £20 note under ultraviolet light, you get a hologram. But that doesn’t happen with a £50 note. Why?

Qualification: It’s all I carry around!
Answer: The current £50 was introduced in the early 90s, but the other notes were replaced in the early 00s, adding the ultraviolet strip.
