Answer: When you overcook spaghetti, it turns to slush and doesn’t hold together. The usual things you get on toast in a café – baked beans, mushrooms, tomatoes – you can keep them on a hotplate and they keep their shape. If you did the same to spaghetti, you end up with a lot of slush.
