Why do snorers not wake themselves up when they snore? Most people can’t sleep when there is a great deal of ambient noise.

Answer: You have deep sleep and shallow sleep. They do actually wake themselves up during the night, if they are in a shallow sleep. When you are in deep sleep, that’s when your snoring is the loudest, so it would wake someone in shallow sleep, but not deep sleep.
