Why don't you get hay fever at night?

sneeze.jpgQuestion

My daughter gets hay fever all the time with a runny nose and constant sneezing. But at night she's fine and if she naps during the day, she is fine. So why doesn't hay fever have an effect when you're asleep?

Name: Andy, Romford
Qualification: Persistent sufferer of hayfever
Answer: I disagree with this. In June, my hayfever is at its peak. Pollen is a lot more active during the day when the sun is out and the flowers are open. At night, flowers closes up, so there isn't so much pollen around. She probably thinks she isn't affected when she's asleep, as she's just not aware of it because she's asleep!

Answer: You take less pollen when you're asleep as your eyes are closed. Think of how the toxins from onions affect your eyes.
