Why is breath hot, but blowing cold?
QuestionIf you hold your hand three inches from your face and breath on it, it feels hot. But if you blow on it as if you were whistling, it’s cold. How come?
Answer** Definitive **
Name: Gary, Dartford
Qualification: Full of hot air
Answer: When you breath gently on your hand, it’s with air that has come from your body and has been heated by your body. But when you blow, you are blowing air on to your hand far quicker – is essentially the wind chill factor.
