Why is fried fish cheaper than grilled fish?


I went to a fish restaurant last week and ate some grilled fish. But I noticed that the same fish grilled is more expensive than fried. Why is that? Surely it’s more effort.

Answer: The chef puts in 10-15 fried fish in the oil and then he can just leave them until they are ready to be removed. With grilled fish, you can only do them one-by-one and you need someone to look after them the whole time. They are much easier to break while being grilled as well.
