Woman Charged Over Croydon Tram Racist Rant

A 34-year-old woman has been charged after a video allegedly showing her racially abusing fellow passengers on the tram went viral on the internet.
The clip, viewed more than two million times since being uploaded to YouTube on Sunday, shows a woman sitting with a child, shouting at fellow passengers on the Croydon-to-Wimbledon Tramlink.
Emma West, of New Addington in Croydon, is has been charged with a racially-aggravated public order offence.
She was arrested on Monday and appeared before Croydon Magistrates' Court later on Tuesday morning.
The clip, filmed on the Croydon to Wimbledon Tramlink, shows a woman with a toddler sitting on her lap swearing and abusing passengers. She tells one: "You are not British," and "go back to where you came from."
