Disruption for rail passengers as CrossCountry cancels 'almost all routes' following power cut
The fault occurred on Saturday, leading to commuter chaos up and down the country
A number of trains across the UK have been cancelled following a power cut at a control centre, causing traffic chaos.

The electrical fault started at CrossCountry control centre which has affected routes services between Manchester and Birmingham, which passes through Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry and Wolverhampton stations.
Other journeys from Leeds to York, Cheltenham to Cardiff and Glasgow to Edinburgh have also been hit with problems as a result.
CrossCountry has described it as "significant and unforeseen disruption" as passengers are forded to switch their method of travel.

The only exception to the chaos is the Peterborough to Cambridge and Stansted Airport line, which is currently operating at a "near-normal" timetable.
The other cancellations are expected to last until further notice.
A CrossCountry spokesperson said on Sunday: "A power cut in Birmingham city centre has affected the building where our control centre is located.
"As a result, many of the systems our control teams use to manage the railway are currently unavailable.
"Although colleagues are working hard to safely operate services using alternative processes, CrossCountry services will be significantly disrupted on Sunday 23 August."
Tickets purchased for travel on CrossCountry services on Sunday 23 August will be valid forup until Wednesday 26 August.
They added: "While we will run as many trains as possible, passengers should expect significant reductions to services and cancellations across almost all CrossCountry routes throughout the day.
"We are sorry to passengers affected by this significant and unforeseen disruption.”
