A family of four have died in a horror crash in the Scottish Highlands.

Two parents and their children, aged one and three, were killed in the collision on the A82 on Thursday.

It involved a Mini Cooper and a Ford Fiesta and happened near Hillfarm, Torlundy, at around 5.30pm.

Police said a 26-year-old woman, a 25-year-old man and two girls aged one and three who were in the Mini Cooper were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 56-year-old woman driving the other car was taken to Bedford Hospital in Fort William with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
