'I feel immensely encouraged' | Caller Theresa optimistic about Burnham's social care plans
LBC caller Theresa, whose 97-year-old mother has vascular dementia, has told James O'Brien that she feels 'immensely encouraged' by Andy Burnham's speech on social care.

The Prime Minister has said carers should be 'the best paid people in society' as he vows to overhaul the social care system.
Setting out his initial plans from a care home in Enfield, Mr Burnham said that “in an ideal world" he "would not want anybody to have to sell their home to pay for care”, branding it a “horrendous” experience.
It comes as Mr Burnham insisted that social care in England had become "as unfair as American healthcare".
He said: “Last week I said we needed a different kind of politics: problem-solving, not point-scoring. Nowhere is that more urgent than social care.
“For decades, governments have kicked this issue down the road because they’ve seen it as too risky, too difficult, and too complicated.
“Politicians might have different views, but I’m serious about fixing this issue and to do that, we have to find common ground and listen to others to find a way forward.”
