Jenson Button to star in new series of The Grand Tour
The former Formula One World Champion and pundit is expected to make a cameo in the seventh season of the racing car series.
Celebrated British motor racing driver and sports pundit Jenson Button is set to star in the newest season of The Grand Tour.

Button has reportedly been signed up as a guest star in the upcoming season, where viewers can expect to see Button racing cars in an episode set at a California racetrack.
The Grand Tour is a fitting vehicle for the winner of the 2009 Formula One Driver’s Championship to appear in, as it is a show all about racing cars across the globe.
Jenson had questioned the premise of The Grand Tour when it first aired in 2016, telling the media: “It’s the kind of show you watch in the bath…I’ve seen it all before.” Before adding that “It’s really good fun,” but stressing that there is an area that the show is missing.
However, now the driver, who officially retired from racing in 2025, will be showing off a number of cars for the Amazon Prime programme.

Jenson is not the only fresh face set to appear on the show. The Grand Tour was devised and presented in 2016 by Top Gear stars and producers Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May, and Andy Wilman.
Season seven, which airs this year, will be presented by a fresh set of hosts, James Engelsman, Thomas Holland, and Francis Bourgeois. Bourgeois is best known for making short-form videos about trains.
Wilman confirmed to the media that the original presenters are set to make cameos this season, but, “we do want to pass that baton on.”
The sport and faces of F1 have become even more popular in recent years, especially among a female and younger demographic of fans, due in part to the Netflix series Drive to Survive which shows the behind-the-scenes of the racing season.
The motorsport also inspired the 2025 Oscar winning film F1, starring Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem.
Other celebrated British F1 drivers include Lando Norris who won the Driver’s Championship in 2025 for team McClaren, David “DC” Coulthard who won 13 Grand Prix in his career and now co-hosts Global’s Up to Speed podcast about F1, and Lewis Hamilton who is tied for the most decorated F1 driver of all time with seven World Championships.
Hamilton is currently dating Kim Kardashian. So far, Hamilton has not appeared on his girlfriend’s reality TV show The Kardashians.
The new season of The Grand Tour is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on September 4.
