The internet streamer, real name Braden Eric Peters, was allegedly filmed on an airboat, seemingly unloading a series of bullets into a dead alligator in the Florida Everglades.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed last week that it was launching an investigation into a video of a man shooting an alligator.

Wildlife officials said: “The FWC is aware of a video depicting individuals in the Everglades on an airboat who appear to be discharging firearms at an alligator.

“FWC officers are looking into the incident and will provide additional information when available.”

It is unclear if this investigation is related to the video, but shooting an alligator illegally can lead to as many as five years in prison, according to the state’s Attorney General.

Authorities have strict laws for hunting alligators which require permits and authorisation.

Peters was arrested by police earlier this week over a separate incident following claims he “instigated” a fight and “posted it on social media to exploit the two women”.

According to the local Sheriff's office, the clash allegedly involved his girlfriend Violet Marie Lentz, 24, and a 19-year-old female.

It is claimed he instigated the fight before live-streaming it.

“Neither Peters nor Lentz came out of the residence to speak to deputies about the incident when they arrived at the house to investigate,” officials said, The Sun report.

“Detectives from the Osceola Sheriff’s Office completed their investigation after reviewing videos and talking with witnesses.”

Peters faces misdemeanour battery and conspiracy to commit battery charges while Lentz is also accused of battery but had not been arrested as of Friday afternoon.
