Two men have been rushed to hospital after a double stabbing in north London.

Police were called at 9.35am today to reports of a double stabbing in West Green Road in Tottenham.

Police said they were called to reports of a stabbing at a butchers shop.

Scotland Yard officers and London Ambulance Service medics attended and found two men, 40 and 29 suffering from stab injuries and a third man who had also been attacked.

The two stab victims were rushed to hospital for treatment.

The man aged in his forties is in a stable condition. Police said they were waiting for updates on the 29-year-old’s injuries. The third man assaulted did not require hospital treatment.

One bystander wrote online: "2 shopkeepers stabbed by 2 kids at 9:30am on a Sunday morning on West Green Road... why? What should we do as a community?"

A police cordon had been set up which includes the West Green Halal Meat & Groceries store.

No arrests have been made.
