The Barbadian singer, 38, has had three children with the rapper since releasing her most recent album Anti in 2016 and starred in the films Ocean's 8 and Smurfs.
But while she performed while pregnant at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2023 and released standalone singles with NERD and Partynextdoor, there has not been any new album for a decade.
A$AP Rocky told The Jason Lee Podcast: "She is in the studio right now."
“Yeah, I said it. Sorry, babe. She cooking, bro. No funny s***.”
When asked by Lee if the two were combining for a joint album, like Beyoncé and Jay-Z, and Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have done previously, he said there was no chance.
“I would hate Rocky and Rihanna if they did that – that’s trash”, he said.
“Nobody wanna hear us together! I make subversive, weird ass indie rap. The music that I make is for a niche demographic of people who get it.”

Rihanna released seven albums in almost successive years from 2005 to 2012, with Anti coming in 2016, but her output has slowed dramatically in the meantime.
After taking time out on the back of her Anti World Tour, she has spent more time growing her beauty empire but has spent eight years trying to perfect another LP.
She said of her album last year: “And it’s not going to be commercial or radio, digestible. It’s going to be where my artistry deserves to be right now.
“I know it’s not going to be anything that anybody expects."
