Sherrif says gunman who stormed Florida State University was son of one of his deputies
Two people have been killed and five injured after a shooting at Florida State University, with one suspect in custody.

The suspected gunman, aged 20, is a current student at the university and a son of a Leon County sheriff deputy.
Sheriff Walt McNeil said it was not a surprise that the suspected gunman had access to weapons as he was a member of the Youth Advisory Council to the sheriff's office.
Mr McNeil said the man used his mother's handgun.
“This is a heinous crime,” McNeil said.
It's suspected the man opened fire at 11:50pm (4:50pm UK time).
He was carrying a shotgun during the incident, it's been reported, but it is unclear whether he fired it.
Students and staff were told to "shelter in place" at the student union at Florida State University campus.
People were seen fleeing the scene, some running through traffic, around the time of the shooting in Tallahassee.
Those who died were reportedly not university students.
Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare said to they were "actively receiving and caring for patients" from the incident, via SkyNews.
"At this time, details are still unfolding, and we do not yet have specific information to share. However, we want to assure the community that our teams are fully mobilised and prepared to provide the highest level of care and support to all those affected," they said.
US President Donald Trump said it was a "shame"
"It's a horrible thing. Horrible that things like this take place," he said.
Florida governor Ron DeSantis posted on X: "Our prayers are with our FSU family and state law enforcement is actively responding."
Ambulances, police and fire trucks were seen at the scene around midday (5pm UK time).
Crowds of students gather near the university's music school, checking their phones and waiting for news.

Florida State University student Daniella Streety told NBC: "I did see them carry out one student in what looked like on a stretcher and kept them in the road until an ambulance was able to pick them up."
Ms Streety remained on lockdown in a university building.
Joshua Sirmans, 20, told the broadcaster he was in the main library when alarms began going off.
He said police escorted Mr Sirmans and other students from the library with their hands over their heads.
