The President released a statement on Thursday saying "loyal friend" Pam Bondi, his attorney general, will be moving to a different role in the private sector.
It came just hours after US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth asked the US Army chief General Randy George to step down, the Pentagon said on Thursday, as the Trump administration faces growing pressure at home and abroad over the unpopular war with Iran.
Two additional high-ranking members of the Army were also sacked yesterday - General David Hodne, head of the Army Transformation and Training Command, and Major General William Green Jr, the head of the Army's chaplain corps.
Now, FBI Director Kash Patel and Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll could be next in the firing line as the president mulls a major reshuffle, according to the Atlantic.
Sources told the outlet said that the timing is not clear and that the president is yet to make up his mind, but he is seriously considering changes to his top team as anger grows.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is said to be on “thin ice” and Mr Trump is also unhappy with the work of Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer, Politico reports.
“He’s very angry and he’s going to be moving people,” an administration official told the outlet.
The planned changes are focused on those who “underperformed or who have generated too much negative attention,” another source said.
However, a White House spokesperson told the Atlantic: “Trump has the most talented cabinet and team in American history.
“Patriots like Kash Patel, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, and Dan Driscoll are tirelessly implementing the President’s agenda and achieving tremendous results for the American people.”
The US president has also reportedly asked aides about whether to sack Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, who has come under growing pressure after top counter terror official Joe Kent resigned last month.
Pam Bondi broke her silence on Friday after she was sacked as attorney general.
In a statement on X, she said she oversaw “easily the most consequential first year of the Department of Justice in American history”.
She added that she is “eternally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in me.”
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche is stepping in to replace her as she moves to the private sector for a career shift.
It has been alleged Mr Trump had grown discontented with Ms Bondi as she wasn't moving forward fast enough in prosecuting his adversaries.
According to NBC, a source familiar with White House discussions said Trump felt Bondi had not "executed on his vision" in the way he wanted.
