Woman killed after multi-car motorway crash involving a lorry

The fatal collision on Friday involved three cars and an HGV.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman, 23, was killed in a fatal collision between three cars and an HGV on the M25.

The crash occurred between junction 29 at Upminster and junction 30 at Aveley in Thurrock on Friday, April 3.

Emergency services were called at 19:52 BST after reports of a multi-car collision involving a lorry.

Officers from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, London Ambulance and London Air Ambulance services attended, but were unable to save the woman, who died at the scene.

Her family have been notified and no other injuries have been reported.

A section of the M25 remained closed after the accident until around 5am on Saturday, April 4.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
