Woman arrested after sudden death of baby boy in Ipswich

The little boy was rushed to hospital at 10.25am on Tuesday following reports of a "medical emergency" at a house in Bulstrode Road.

Despite efforts by medical professionals, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The woman is now being questioned by detectives.

Police are still at the property while officers carry out an investigation into the circumstances behind the baby's death, which is currently being treated as "unexplained".

The next of kin have been informed.
