Parton was confirmed to have died on Tuesday, aged 80.

Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Celine Dion are among the celebrities who have paid tributes.

Meanwhile, gasps were heard during a Tuesday staging of a Parton 9-5 musical when the audience was told that she had died.

A statement read: “Dolly has lived in the light and is in the arms of Jesus, surely met by Carl, her parents and countless others who have watched her and longed to meet her in the heavens.”
