'Major incident' declared after five patients and staff attacked at medical centre

A major incident has been declared after five people were attacked at a medical centre in Bletchley

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 9am this morning to reports of an assault.

Two people had to be taken to hospital for treatment and three others were treated at the scene, it has been claimed.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of multiple assaults.

The centre itself declared the major incident, and said the practice will now be closed until further notice.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: "At around 9am this morning a number of people were assaulted at the Parkside Medical Practice.

"Officers attended the scene and  a man has been arrested on suspicion of multiple assaults, he remains in custody at this time.

"A number of people have been taken to hospital but none of their injuries appear to be life-threatening."
