Man stabbed in front of rush-hour commuters at south-east London station

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in front of rush-hour commuters outside a south-east London station.

Police were called at 07:18hrs this morning to reports of an altercation outside Plumstead station in Greenwich.

Officers attended and learnt a man had been injured and subsequently boarded a bus to leave the scene.

He was found on board a 472 bus suffering from a stab wound.

London Ambulance Service medics rushed him to a south London hospital.

His condition was not immediately available. There have been no arrests.

One eyewitness, who was on a bus behind the 427, told LBC News she saw police cars and the bus in front was taped off.
