A pair have been arrested on suspicion of murdering two-month-old girl who was found with "multiple broken bones."

The child was found unresponsive at home in Surrey Quays, south London, on 26 April.

The 24-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, and have now been arrested on suspicion of killing the youngster.

A Met Police spokesperson "A post mortem scan of the child showed a number of broken bones.

"On Friday, 3 May 2019 police arrested a 24-year-old man [A] and a 21-year-old woman [B] on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

"A post mortem examination conducted on Friday, 10 May was inconclusive.

"Following further testing police further arrested [A] and [B] on suspicion of murder.

"They have both been released on bail to a date in mid-October.

"Officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command investigate led by Detective Chief Inspector John Massey. Enquiries continue."
