The row over a ban on the Muslim headscarf is a very heated one. Thankfully Ian Collins has a rather more common sense, British solution to the whole thing.

Ian was reacting to Europe's top court ruling that a workplace ban on headscarves does not constitute direct discrimination. It's sparked ab ig reaction from both sides of the debate but Ian was a bit more practical about the whole thing.

"Religious attire...if you think about it, all religious attire is a bit funny isn't it?

"It's the 21st Century and we have folk mooching around, going about their business, wearing all manner of wacky hats, men in dresses, women with their entire faces hidden under a cloth, weird symbols, hairstyles, beards and badges.

"For those who choose religion as a hobby, they seem quite relaxed about wearing 'the uniform' wherever they go. To me, that is a little bit weird. However, do I want to ban it?

"Do I want a rule, a law, to stop Nadiya wearing her headscarf when she knocks out a sticky toffee pudding? The answer, of course, is no.

"The reason it's no is because this isn't North Korea."
