Global warming is a huge issue for our future, but a passionate Ian Collins says the government is doing nothing about it.

Professor Sir Robert Watson, a former chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, claimed that the planet is warming faster than expected and the majority of people alive today will experience what it is like to live on a dangerously overheated planet.

Ian believes it is a serious issue for the planet and he's angry the government appears to be doing nothing about it.

Speaking on his LBC show, Ian said: "This is massive news. This is absolutely enormous. And the government advice is... none. There is none, not really.

"Are there one or two green taxes? Oh that's it... 5p on a plastic bag. But don't worry you could buy as many gas-guzzling cars as you like. Because we've got it all in order, it'll cost you five pence down at the co-op when you buy you munch.

"That's the way we're dealing with global warming. You can have as many cars as you like, you can jump on as many airplanes as you like, you don't have to worry about wind farms or putting solar panels on your roofs. It makes not a jot, don't care about that.

"In fact, places that have got congestion charges like the capital, it's not really about the environmental consideration, it's just about the issue of trying to raise a few quid. I think that's what they'd call it. You can drive as many cars as you like into the capital as long as you pay for it.

"You can drive around all day in enormous 4x4s, polluting up the place like a goodun. Nobody cares.

"Despite the fact we're all going to fry by 2050, there are no rules or regulations. Don't you find that a little bit curious?"
