Ian Collins Slates Mum Of 8 On £31k Benefits

Ian Collins was on blistering form as he took aim at the single mum of eight who gets £31,000 of benefits.

Ian was discussing Myleene Klass's documentary on single parents, in which she visited Marie Buchan, the 33-year-old mum who was given a four-bedroom council house for her  and her eight children after complaining about government cuts.

And he didn't hold any prisoners as he said that was not what the welfare system was invented for.

He said: "We know there are people, few and far between, who love a bit of free money and have no intention of contributing. They get out of bed at midday, have a house made of flat-screen TVs, think that Jeremy Kyle is the Prime Minister, think that Geordie Shore is a major documentary series and their idea of work is cleaning their own teeth.

"In the mid-1940s, the welfare state began. You will find no reference within the large or the small print that suggests it was ever meant to be used to keep a woman with eight kids in this kind of lifestyle.

"Not in a million years. William Beveridge would be choking on his own abacus."

"What came from the welfare state was very much a safety net. What has happened since is very much a catalogue of abuse."

Watch his brilliant tirade above.
