Dashcam footage shows the moment the driver of a white car pulled out in front of the ambulance on an A-road in rural Hampshire last month.

The ambulance was forced off the road, causing £26,000 of damage. No one was hurt, but the ambulance will be out of service for a month.

Despite the crash, the driver of the white car did not stop at the scene.

The ambulance did not have any patients inside at the time of the crash, but was on a blue light run to another patient.

The crash meant that another ambulance had to be sent out to that patient, meaning that there was a "considerable and potentially life-threatening delay" in treating them.

The South Central Ambulance Service reported the incident to the police, who are now hunting for the culprits, and are appealing for dashcam footage and witnesses.

Officers said the crash took place on the A339 near Alton, at the junction with Spain Lane at about 11.15pm on September 20. They said that the car was possibly a Ford Fiesta or Ford Focus.

'I'd had a heart attack, they had to talk my husband through CPR... and the ambulance never arrived', says caller Kerry

Police added: "We are continuing to investigate a number of lines of enquiry to identify this vehicle and its driver, and are now issuing this dash cam footage as part of our appeal.

"If you are this driver, or know who they are, please contact us. We would also like to speak to anyone with relevant dash cam or CCTV footage.

"Anyone with information should call 101 quoting reference 44240405658."
