London Bridge Evacuated After "Suspect Vehicle" Causes Security Alert

The area around London Bridge and the nearby train station was evacuated this afternoon after a security alert - but it now appears to be over.
A Met Police spokesman earlier said: "The area around London Bridge and the nearby train station have been evacuated this afternoon after a security alert.
Police said it's because of abandoned suspect car - took this photo of Range Rover left with hazards on before we were all evacuated pic.twitter.com/1hETJCenww

"The train station has been closed as a precaution because we believe that there is a vehicle there that is suspicious."

Southeastern Railway tweeted: "Because of a security alert at London Bridge, the station has had to be evacuated and at present no trains can pass through."
