Van Drives Down Centre Of Road Before Repeatedly Ramming Car

Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver almost hit oncoming cars and then repeatedly rammed a car in south London.

The terrifying incident happened in Wallington, Sutton just after 10:15pm on February 23.

CCTV captured the terrifying moment the driver sped down Manor Road in Wellington, swerving into the right hand lane forcing oncoming cars to steer out of the way.

The van was forced to stop when it came to a Peugeot that was doing a three-point turn on Woodcote Road. But instead of waiting for the car to move, the driver started ramming it.

The van hit the car a number of times before driving around it. The driver then started reversing into the car before speeding off.

A few weeks before this dangerous driving was caught on tape, the same van was filmed at a Shell petrol station on Cheam Road.

On January 14 a man, thought to be around 25 years old, filled up the white Ford Transit van and drove off without paying.

Sutton police say the van was using false number plates.

Police want to find the driver as a matter of urgency and are appealing for help from the public to trace him.
