This is the moment a vile crook snatched a poppy collection box, where people had been donating moment for injured veterans from our armed forces.

The shocking incident took place on Sunday 1st November to at a branch of McDonalds in Bromley at 8.30am.

The CCTV footage caught the moment the suspect untied the chain of the collection box, put it under his coat and then left the restaurant.

The suspect is described as a medium build white man in his early 40s wearing a brown cap, beige coat, black trousers and black shoes.

Police Constable Vlad Balog, investigating officer from Bromley borough said: "At a time when we wear a poppy and think of those who gave their lives for us and our country, it is appalling to see such a selfish act.

We are keen to identify the man in the CCTV footage so that we can speak to him about the incident. We would also urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us."
