Man Critical After Forest Hill Stabbing

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being stabbed eight times on a street in south east London.

The 44 year old man was attacked from behind as he was walking home along Devonshire Road, Forest Hill at around 9.20pm yesterday.

He was taken to hospital and his injuries are deemed to be life-threatening.

A 40 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in police custody.

It is believed the pair knew each other.
