A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after another teenager was stabbed to death in west London.
Police were called at 4.38pm on Thursday after the victim, 18, was found with a "critical stab injury" at the Civic Centre in Uxbridge.
The man was taken by ambulance to a west London hospital but could not be saved and died at 5.25pm, Scotland Yard added.
Formal identification has not been carried out and a post-mortem examination will take place.
A second teenager suffered a stab wound to the ear but his injuries are not life-threatening.
The 17-year-old suspect - arrested on suspicion of murder - was taken to a north-west London police station for questioning.
Forensics officers in blue suits were seen inside Hillingdon Civic Centre, which was cordoned off by police tape.
"We need to hear from those in and around the area," said DCI Noel McHugh.
"Do the right thing and call police with what you heard and saw.
"Equally if you captured footage of the incident on your mobile phone at any point of the incident, please contact my team who are ready to take your call."
