Teenage gang who stabbed 18-year-old with 'rambo style' knife jailed for life

Six teenagers have been convicted of murdering an 18-year-old to death with a "rambo style" knife just meters from his home.

Lyndon Davis was killed on 14 March last year after being chased by the group and attacked in an alleyway next to his house in Romford, Essex.

Paramedics found him with five large knife wounds to his legs.

Despite medics best efforts, Lydon died in hospital.

Jordan Worrie, 18, Connor Corcoran, 18, Tyler Faubel, 18, and Michael Corcoran, 17, all from Hainault, were all members of a local gang and were previously found guilty of murder by a jury in July.

Jordan Muingilu, 18, from Wanstead and Ali Ali, 16, of Ilford, did not have gang affiliations and were also convicted.

Ali Ali was only 14 at the time of the murder.

It is believed Lyndon was involved with a rival gang prior to his death.

The gang have all been given life sentences with minimum terms between 11 and 16 years.

Reporting restrictions have now been lifted meaning all of the perpetrators can be named.

Prosecutor Brian O’Neill, QC, told the court the youths targeted Lyndon due to his involvement with a rival gang.

Mr O’Neill said: "This was a deliberate and planned ride into enemy territory. They did not find themselves in Marks Gate that night by accident."

"It is plainly a gang crime and that has always been our case. These offences were committed in the context of gang criminality and involved the use of knives."

All of the members have been convicted with possession of an offensive weapon.

The leader of the investigation, Detective Chief Inspector John Massey said: "These young men set out that afternoon armed to carry out a fatal attack on Lyndon should the opportunity arise, sadly for him they managed to get to him just minutes before he would have reached his front door."

"All have denied any responsibility for the murder of an 18-year-old who had his whole life ahead of him."

"This was a long and complex investigation but I am pleased these individuals have now been brought to justice and will have to face the consequences of their actions."
