Chuka Umunna was left lost for words when Nigel Farage put himself forward for a job with Donald Trump, should the Republican beat Hillary Clinton to the White House.

"Do you think that if Donald Trump becomes President, he might offer you a job in his White House?" asked Iain Dale.

"He loves this country," insisted the former Ukip leader. "Is he going to offer me a job?

"Well I'm hoping he might if he wins. He'll be in need of a proper Eurosceptic Ambassador in Brussels to the European Union. I would rather like that job!"

Iain asked Labour's Chuka Umunna for his reaction and the Streatham MP was speechless.

"Nigel going off to Brussels to represent the United States? I'm lost for words!"

Farage's sign-off was priceless: "Well as long as we can bring the EU down, it doesn't matter how we do it!"
