General Election 2019 LIVE: Jeremy Corbyn targets Tory seats promising to 'get Brexit done'

Welcome to our Politics Live blog, on the day Jeremy Corbyn plans to campaign in Conservative seats in Harlow, and Nigel Farage and Jo Swinson begin their General Election campaign tours.

Jeremy Corbyn is due to make a major speech in Essex, where the Harlow seat is currently held by Conservative Robert Halfon with a majority of just over 7,000.

The Labour leader will pledge to "get Brexit sorted" in six months at his announcement in later. In the 2016 EU referendum, 68% of constituents voted to leave the EU.

Nigel Farage will also begin his Brexit party nationwide General Election campaign today, visiting Bolsover and Ashfield as he fights to win Labour Leave seats.

Jo Swinson launches the Lib Dems launch, saying the party will “stop Brexit and build a brighter future”.
