The number of people with gambling addictions has doubled in recent years and Darren Adam has an idea on why that is.
Although he's not a gambler himself, Darren received a string of calls throughout the hour that shed some light on the problem.
"I don't really understand the impulse.
"It's hard for me to make a determination as to the extent to which advertising plays a part in someone's desire to gamble.
"But having spoken to you this morning...I think it's the special offers as much as the advertising. Maybe even more than the advertising. It's the trail that's laid out for you - this idea that you can gamble a tenner and have the bet matched.
"It's the special offers we need to start with."
