If Theresa May loses the snap election, could Michael Gove replace her as leader of the Conservatives? His explosive laughter suggests not...

The leading Brexit campaigner famously failed to get enough support to challenge May last year after turning on his former ally Boris Johnson. But if she loses the snap election, would Gove be eying up the top job?

"Good question!" remarked Gove after a burst of laughter. "It's not that funny!" insisted Iain.

Gove said that not only did he think May would win the election but that she would do so "handsomely".

And if May does win and has a reshuffle, would Gove work under her?

That prompted more loud laughter from the former Justice Secretary and a cheeky response: "As ever, I'll do what I'm told!"
