LBC's political editor Theo Usherwood was in the studio with Nigel Farage as he interviewed Steve Bannon... He tells Maajid Nawaz what happened after the microphone's went off.
At the end of Nigel Farage's interview with Steve Bannon, LBC's political editor Theo Usherwood clashed with the former strategist over Tommy Robinson.
Off air, and the strategist wasn't happy.
As soon as the microphone was off, he called Theo "f****** liberal elite" and that "Tommy Robinson is the backbone of this country."
Speaking to Maajid Nawaz after the row, Theo explained why the pair clashed over Tommy Robinson.
"Earlier in the show he said that he didn't think Tommy Robinson was Islamophobic," he said.
"I then found various quotes of various points where Tommy Robinson described Islam as a facist religion, and religion that wasn't of peace, and quoted those back to him.
"He then said that he didn't think Tommy Robinson should have been jailed for protesting outside Crown court.
"The law of the land says that in order for someone to have a fair trail - and he had bene warned by a judge not to film people going into the court - that he as a result was sent to prison."
Tommy Robinson was found to have broken contempt of court laws by broadcasting people arriving to Leeds Crown Court on Facebook Live.
