Shelagh Fogarty had to calmly deal with a rather odd rant against “feminazis” by a caller who seemed angry about everything.
The conversation was meant to be about the case of a senior policewoman who has been allowed to keep her job after being found guilty of gross misconduct for showing her breasts and mocking a colleague's breast enhancement operation.
Paul from Stevenage, who says he is a police officer, phoned in on the topic, but he had a lot more to talk about. Paul was unhappy at; women’s senior police conferences, third-wave feminism, “feminizes”, mansplaining and even a former rail regulator.
Shelagh had to work hard to deal with all his gripes and try and understand his argument. Eventually though she had to admit “Paul, I'm sorry, you're officially weird.”
