Stig: Government Should Look After Our Soldiers

'The government sends our soldiers to war, they should look after them when they come back.' Stig Abell asks why veterans have to turn to charity, rather than the state.

Stig Abell said that it is shocking that the state doesn’t take the lead in looking after veterans when they return from war.

“If five percent of soldiers who we send to do our dirty deeds in foreign countries come back and are homeless or drug addicts or mentally ill. That's appalling and they're being looked after by charities not the state.”

“And that's the bit I can't really accept because if the state send someone out to do something the state should pick up the bill of handling them on their return.”
