A London cabbie who considers himself a "British European" wound up Nigel Farage when he called the Ukip leader on LBC.

The Ukip leader was hosting his own Friday night show on LBC, standing in for Olly Mann tonight.

Tony in Enfield talked about how he loved Europe and is desperate for Britain to be a part of it, saying: "I believe we should embrace Europe. We'd be marginalised, we'd be ridiculed if we leave the European Union.

"We are Europe. England is Europe."

He left Mr Farage saying: "You keep using the word Europe. Are you doing that deliberately to wind me up? If you are, it's working. It's working extremely well.

"We are not talking about Europe. We're talking about the European Union. We're talking about a referendum in which we're being asked whether we stay in a political union or not.

"My argument to you is we can be European without being part of the European Union."

Listen to the full call above that left Nigel saying: "Thank you Tony, that was fun!"

While Mr Farage was hosting his show, David Cameron made a speech in front of Angela Merkel in Hamburg.

So was he impressed with the Prime Minister? Not one bit.
