Ryanair’s planes have been named the dirtiest in the UK in a survey of passengers.

The poll, conducted by Which? Travel found that Ryanair had the lowest score for cleanliness, with just 42 per cent of people giving the airline a ‘good’ score.

Ryanair also had the highest score for ‘poor’ cleanliness, at 24 per cent in the survey of 8,000 Which? members.

Wizz air and Vueling came joint second for airlines with ‘poor’ cleanliness.

Air New Zealand was voted the cleanest airline, with 97 per cent of people giving the airline a ‘good’ rating.

Neither Singapore Airlines nor Emirates got a ‘poor’ cleanliness rating.

Ryanair has not yet responded to the survey.
