Man Sought By Police after Kicking A Cat

Police have shared a video on social media of a man appearing to kick a cat in a bid to track down the assailant.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested this afternoon on suspicion of animal cruelty after a cat was attacked in a video shared on social media.

Sergeant Joe Simon From Lewisham police station shared the video on Twitter showing a suspect stroking a cat by a Volkswagen car.

The suspect then savagely kicks the defenceless animal, which is booted far out of shot. The clip has shared over 2 thousand times.

Lewisham Police subsequently tweeted that "as a result of a tweet this morning about cruelty to a cat a report has been taken and is being investigated."
