Langdon Park Robbery Suspect

A 71-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint by a man just days before Christmas and police have issued this CCTV image in a bid to track down a suspect.

The robbery took place around 11pm at Langdon Park, as the OAP left the DLR station. The suspect approached him and told him to hand over his cash.

He used a small knife to threaten the victim, who handed over his money.

CCTV at the station caught the suspect, above. He is described as a white man, aged in his 30s, with short brown hair. He was wearing a blue hooded top with red stripes on the sleeves, blue jeans and trainers.

Detective Constable Ryan Smith said: "The pensioner was shaken from his ordeal.

"We are keen to identify the man in the CCTV footage so we can speak to him about the incident. We would also urge anyone who witnessed the robbery to contact us."
