Former Labour heavyweight Ed Balls told LBC that is a catastrophe that Corbyn’s Labour party seem happy with being in opposition.

Talking to LBC’s Iain Dale, the former shadow chancellor, said that his experience of opposition showed him it is the worst place in the world.

“I think our biggest problem in the Labour party, if you want too be prime minister, is that you have to want to unite the country and persuade sceptical middle ground voters to trust you.”

“Opposition is the worst thing in the world, there is nothing positive about it and currently Labour seem happy being there."

The former Shadow is participating in reality TV show Strictly Come Dancing. Watch back as he discussed life after politics.
