This is James O'Brien's immediate reaction to the news that Nigel Farage has resigned as Ukip leader.

Mr Farage stood down from his position, saying he had done his bit after helping to lead Britain to a Brexit vote in the EU referendum last month.

James watched Mr Farage's resignation speech and then said on his LBC show: "Who the hell do we hold accountable for this vote to leave the European Union?

"And now Nigel Farage has resigned as leader of Ukip.
