Protests over the proposed demolition of a statue of a Confederate general in Charlottesville, Virginia, turned violent yesterday when white supremacists clashed with a counter protest.
Three people died and several others were seriously injured in the town, with one alt right protestor driving a car into a crowd of peaceful protesters, killing a 32-year-old woman.
Maajid thinks the US President's failure to condemn the actions of the far right is abhorrent, and lambasted Trump earlier in his show.
One caller, David, phoned up to give his take on why some protestors became violent - but Maajid thought he was making excuses, and he wasn't having any of it.
